More of the Lot

We got the good news last week that there was a new big-screen version of SALEM’S LOT in the works. Now comes word that the unlucky little town will feature prominently in the second season of the series CASTLE ROCK on Hulu. I didn’t pay a lot of attention to CASTLE ROCK when it came out because it is exclusive to Hulu and thus I cannot view it, but I did know that it is about the fictional town where Stephen King set so many of his seminal stories. Season two will feature the citizenry of Castle Rock becoming involved in a rivalry with neighboring town Jerusalem’s Lot, shortened to Salem’s Lot in common usage. Sweet.

Does this mean that we’ll be seeing vampire Kurt Barlow at any point? (I know that *I* won’t be seeing him, because Hulu, but *you* might get to see him, if they decide to feature him as a character in the series. Which is on Hulu. Which I can’t get. Because of my geographic location.) Yeah, Barlow got iced at the end of SALEM’S LOT (both the book and the made-for-television miniseries) but that hardly means anything. He’s a vampire. It’s kinda their M.O. not to stay dead.
