I’ve often said that I have the perfect job. I get paid to talk about (i.e. write about) things that interest me, to review movies and books that I would watch or read anyway, and visit places that I would go to anyway. I count myself really fortunate. Alas, no job is perfect *all* the time; for example, every once in a blue moon I must report on something that doesn’t interest me. At all. (Woe is me!) A good example of *that* would be video games. I’m not a gamer; unless we’re talking about Playstation 2 games—that’s the most advanced system I’ve ever owned, and even then I only played sporadically. Another case in point: Vampirella. I’ve written before on how I don’t care for the character, how I think it’s silly and puerile. But it falls under the purview of this site, thus I must occasionally give it—give her—some attention.
This first part, at least, is something good: a new VAMPIRELLA comic is being released, and all proceeds from the variant cover sales will go towards artist JG Jones, who provides that cover art, to help support his battle with cancer. You can help out and secure your copy by clicking here.
Also, we can expect a new VAMPIRELLA movie, and possibly a television series as well. Hoo-hah. There. Rabbit shot. Moving on.
