No, Robert Pattinson WON’T Be Playing Batman

It’s disheartening, the way things on the Internet can spread, things without any veracity being taken up as factual and spread as such. All it really takes is for one person to post something. Doesn’t matter if it’s true. Then someone repeats it, then somebody else, and then before you know it, it’s one of those things that is considered common knowledge—despite the fact that it is not true, that it never was true. An artist created a work wherein Robert Pattinson was featured as Batman. This artist does not work for Warner Brothers and has no connection to the upcoming film THE BATMAN. He never claimed otherwise. He merely created a work of art. And everybody, including supposed-to-be professional news sites, took it as gospel and started reporting it. Listen to me on this one, friends: Never believe ANYthing you see on the Internet 100% until you check to verify it. Always go to the source.

You heard that Chris Pratt is anti-gay people, right? Same deal. People grabbing onto something and repeating it without bothering to check and see if it’s true. When Ellen Page questioned Pratt regarding the church he attends, wondering if that meant he harbored homophobic feelings (as the church had reputedly in the past been linked to homophobic stances), Pratt stated clearly that he supports gay marriage and gay rights. But nope, by then people had already decided he said or did SOMEthing homophobic, somewhere, at some time. It’s all horseshit.

Robert Pattinson is NOT playing Batman. You can all relax.
