Oooh. Aaah. Third WALKING DEAD TV Series. Woop.
It has zombies in it so I have to report on it. But in the interest of complete honesty, I couldn’t care less about the second THE WALKING DEAD spinoff, the third THE WALKING DEAD series overall. While the flagship series continues to lose viewers, the people at AMC continue to squeeze the udders of that cash cow every chance they get. As of this writing, we don’t know what they’re going to call this new series. I’ll give it a title until the real one is released. The show will involve “two young female protagonists and focus on the first generation to come-of-age in the apocalypse as we know it. Some will become heroes. Some will become villains. In the end, all of them will be changed forever. Grown-up and cemented in their identities, both good and bad.” Hmm. Okay. Teenyboppers fighting zombies, or running from zombies. Expect lots of teen angst in the mix, then. And with two ladies in the lead roles, it’s clear there’s going to be a strong feminist slant to it. Let’s put all the ingredients in a blender and see what we get.
I dub this new series THE WALKING DEAD 90210. Catchy, don’t you think?
