Preview: THE STRAIN Episode 6, Season 4 – “Tainted Love”

Here’s a teaser for next Sunday’s episode. Eichorst seems to have recovered nicely from being immolated by Dutch. Looks like we’ll be getting more of Quinlan, too, so I’m a happy camper. Those yokels Eichorst was taking out, those were the same guys who bailed on Fet and Quinlan, right? Can’t feel too sorry for them, that being the case. And as predicted, it looks like we’re starting to see some strain (ba-dump-bum!) between Fet and Quinlan over Charlotte. Fet has a tendency to let his fists do the thinking for him, but I hope he shows better judgment this time. He does not want to trade punches with this guy.

And what’s the deal with these “Mongrels”? They’re souped-up versions of the standard Strigoi, right? They must be pretty badass, since one of them held its own against Quinlan in the fight on top of that truck last week. This video gives us a little more information on them. I find them much more interesting than the garden variety Munchers, which are kinda wussy, if we’re honest about it. I hope we get to see more of them this season, especially contortionist Troy James, who we see profiled in the video. He’s downright freaky, in that Linda Blair, spider-walk-down-the-stairs, Exorcist sorta way. (Note: That particular scene in the movie was not performed by Linda Blair but by a contortionist, though not Troy James. They seem to share similar dexterity, though.)
