Richelle Mead’s ‘The Golden Lily’ Release Date Revealed!

Richelle Mead is one of the most beloved of all young adult vampire authors, especially here on Vampires.com where she has a massive fan base. Readers are constantly asking about the latest news on Bloodlines, the spinoff series to the bestselling Vampire Academy novels, and at long last I finally have news! Hurray! Information on the second book in the Bloodlines series, The Golden Lily, has finally been released and we now know both the synopsis and the release date.

What is the big day to mark on your calendars? June 19, 2012! Yes, that is a long ways away. But at least we finally have a date for it.

Here is the plot description for The Golden Lily:

“Tough, brainy alchemist Sydney Sage and doe-eyed Moroi princess Jill Dragomir are in hiding at a human boarding school in the sunny, glamorous world of Palm Springs, California. The students – children of the wealthy and powerful – carry on with their lives in blissful ignorance, while Sydney, Jill, Eddie and Adrian must do everything in their power to keep their secret safe. But with forbidden romances, unexpected spirit bonds, and the threat of Strigoi moving ever closer, hiding the truth is harder than anyone thought.

Populated with new faces as well as familiar ones, Richelle Mead’s breathtaking Bloodlines series explores all the friendship, romance, battles and betrayals that made the #1 New York Times bestselling Vampire Academy series so addictive. In this second book, the drama is hotter, the romances are steamier, and the stakes are even higher.”

Sounds fantastic right? How excited are you guys about the upcoming book? Which do you love more – Vampire Academy or Bloodlines? Or are both equally great? Let us know in a comment below!

Moonlight (aka Amanda) loves to write about, read about and learn about everything pertaining to vampires. You will most likely find her huddled over a book of vampire folklore with coffee in hand. Touch her coffee and she may bite you (and not in the fun way).
