Romance Books Coming October 2010

It’s ok, you can admit it – you love vampire romance novels. You love the naughty sex scenes full of “throbbing members,” pale chests and blood loss. It’s cool, everyone has their guilty pleasure. So this one is for you, a list of October’s vampire romance novels.

The Cowboy and the Vampire: A Darkly Romantic Mystery by Clark Hays and Kathleen McFall

About reporter Lizzie Vaughan, who learns that she has 2,000 years of royal Vampiric blood coursing through her veins. Neither she nor Tucker, her cowboy lover, has any idea that Julius, the leader of the undead, has a diabolical plan to reign over darkness for all eternity – with Lizzie at his side. Lizzie and Tucker then find themselves caught up in a vampire war.

Eternal Hunger: Mark of the Vampire by Laura Wright
Eternal Hunger follows Sarah, who is a doctor dedicated to removing the traumatic memories of her patients – like those of the stranger at her front door. But what he tells her that he’s a vampire, it is too astonishing to be anything more than the delusion of a madman. Yet she has seen his flesh burned by the sun and witnessed his inhuman strength. And never more has she felt so connected to a man, by both fear and seductive excitement.

Blood & Sex: Jonas: A Ravenous Romance by Angela Cameron
Another book featuring a doctor – Dr. Elena Jensen is an immunohematologist with DIACorp, the world’s leading medical research facility. On the eve of announcing her discovery of an immunity booster that will change the lives of every human on earth, a sexy new man walks into her life. Jonas, the strangely appealing owner of the new vampire themed bondage club, could be the perfect distraction from her otherwise workaholic life. But their worlds couldn’t be farther apart. Elena walks away, hoping that she forget Jonas and focus on her work, but he won’t leave her alone. Even in her naughty dreams, Jonas is absolutely alluring. The fact that he’s starring each night as a powerful vampire lover makes him even more irresistible. At least until a werewolf attacks her, forcing Jonas to reveal his identity and the truth of her dreams.

Everlasting Desire by Amanda Ashley
The clientele at Shore’s clothing store includes some of L.A.’s sexiest bachelors. But none of them affects Megan DeLacey as deeply as the dark-eyed stranger who strides into her boutique one evening – and keeps returning, night after night. Megan is drawn to Rhys even as she fears him.

The Keepers (Silhouette Nocturne) by Heather Graham Pozzessere
At the core of New Orleans lie the otherworldly vampires and shape-shifters that hide in plain sight among mankind. As one of the Keepers, an elite group possessing superior skill and strength, Fiona MacDonald’s duty is to maintain peace. When Detective Jagger DeFarge, a vampire, is called in at the discovery of a body drained of blood, both the detective and Fiona must join uneasy forces. As more die, it becomes clear that this isn’t the work of a normal vampire. No one is safe. So when the killer’s attention turns to Fiona, will Jagger risk destroying his own species to protect the woman he so passionately desires?

Twilight Hunger (Wings in the Night) by Maggie Shayne
About Morgan DeSilva who uncovers ancient diaries and enters the world of a dead madman who believed himself a vampire. Dante’s story made her famous, yet she is wasting away, prey to erotic dreams as real as if he were there.
She is Chosen, and she can be his. His kiss can save her from destiny’s curse, from the enemies hunting them both. But first he must trust her. With his life. With his love. With the promise of immortality.

There are way more romance novels that came out this month (a couple dozen), but they’re all e-books. So if you have an e-reader, I suggest checking those out as well.

By Moonlight

Moonlight (aka Amanda) loves to write about, read about and learn about everything pertaining to vampires. You will most likely find her huddled over a book of vampire folklore with coffee in hand. Touch her coffee and she may bite you (and not in the fun way).

  2. Very happy to see Moonlight shining on The Cowboy and the Vampire. It’s breathing new live into the undead. There’s much more crimson vampire stuff (like what sick human taste like, and why supermodels are like veal) at our website. Find us on facebook, too, but don’t expect to find us in the daylight.

  3. I actually find most of paranormal romances a bit dull. Some are fun, some have gorgeous Gothic romance feel, many are routine.
