V: Duskfalling is a new groundbreaking, location-based, player versus player game designed for iOS, Android and the new iPad3. In this badass casual game, players assume the role of vampires hunting one another, their movement tracked by GPS and visible to other users. In this ever-changing field of play, power is gained by tracking and biting other players, building powerful clans, learning unique abilities, and locating useful items on the map.
Essentially, this game allows to you be the vampiric ruler of your actual hometown.
More from the official V: Duskfalling website:
“The Dusk Falling experience is highly styled but very simple to play; the charm lying in the suspense of the GPS-driven “hunt” and the strategy required to conquer your own city. Players will track and “bite” other players, contributing to the strength of their clan and the associated clan lord. As the game evolves, a supreme clan will dominate the city, creating a social stronghold. Even strong clans will have to keep vigilant watch for vampire hunters, rival clans, and legendary “super” vampires that may appear at any time.
Raincrow is putting an emphasis on storytelling and rich narrative, supporting the player vs. player game will be a trove of spells and magical items. Dusk Falling is the first chapter in the V series with future releases being shaped by actual game play. The concept is intrinsically viral, with players “infecting” other players and creating bloodlines. Players can also benefit from non-player-entities (NPE’s) that may enter the game environment; seedy “blood merchants” that sell a cocktail called the Red Lady, a veritable steroid for vamps looking to gain an edge, and mythical objects like Perun’s Flowers that offer certain buffs.
In the end, one clan will rule.”
It sounds pretty awesome, I wish I could play it myself, but it’s currently only available in the iTunes app store and that doesn’t help this droid user out at all.
What do you guys think of this new game? Will you give it a shot?

The next step in GPS games would be vampires versus werewolves.
A natural setting would be Forks/LaPush, Washington. This game would keep all the adolescent Twilight fans vacationing there entertained, for sure.
For instance, a “vampire’s” goal would be to get to to First Beach in LaPush without getting tagged by “werewolves”. This might be difficult, because the only way to travel from Forks to LaPush is a small two-lane road (the same road where Jacob Black’s mother was said to have died in a car accident). And if some of the local Quileutes were playing along on their iPhones and Droids, just about every sparkly emo vampire playing in the game would be tagged repeatedly (ha ha)
