Danila Koslovsky, well known to the on again, off again president of Russia, Vladimir Putin, in his previous roles, but until now, has been virtually unknown for the west. He seems very happy to be part of the movie, and the fun, interesting character Richelle Mead created. Recently, its reported, Russian actors were type cast as a certain kind of character, like mafia figures for instance, fitting into a stereotype held by the west. I hope Mr. Koslovsky does a brilliant job with this ‘Vampire Diaries’ character, and inspires more Hollywood film makers to cast Russian actors in less traditional roles.
