Salt in the Wound

I’m one of those weirdo types who doesn’t like to watch trailers on the Internet. I prefer to see them the old-fashioned way, in a movie theater. I also prefer not to know ahead of time where a particular trailer is going to appear, again like in the olden days. I love the surprise of catching a trailer for a movie I’m excited about. It just isn’t the same when you type in the words on your computer or cellphone and watch the trailer appear on command.

I saw the trailer for MORBIUS by accident. I’d rented BLOODSHOT and the trailer was attached. My willpower isn’t so great that I could skip it once I’d realized what it was. I mean, I’m not made of stone. So yes, I watched it. Damn, it looks good!

My excitement upon viewing the trailer became quickly tempered, fading to disappointment, when I remembered that we aren’t going to get to see MORBIUS this year at all. Whereas the plan was for it to release this month, before the damnable ‘Rona interfered. Now we have to wait until March of next year. I guess we should be grateful, as the delay could have been even longer. But I was handling the disappointment over the delay better before I saw the trailer. Bittersweet.
