Spike TV’s 2009 Scream Awards recently announced this year’s nominations and our beloved HBO vampire series, True Blood got itself 8 nominations. Hell yea!
Scream 2009 is an event that pays tribute to the best in sci-fi, fantasy, comics, and horror. Covering all of our geeky fan favorites, from our idols to our shows and movies. With categories ranging from Best Horror Actress to Best F/X to Holy S***! Scene of the Year to even, Most Memorable Mutilation – Scream’09 is for sure a radass event that is not to be missed.
But back on topic, True Blood + 8 nominations = AWESOME! If you don’t already know, True Blood is the record breaking HBO television series about sexy and sinister vampires, a gorgeous psychic and a whole world of fun and chaos. The series is gaining in popularity every day, millions already watch the show every week to see what will happen next to the cute and sassy Sookie Stackhouse… or to see another nude scene of Eric. Either way all fans should vote for True Blood, and that’s the great thing about the Scream awards, its left in the hands of the fans. So make sure you go here and vote for True Blood.

The 2009 award ceremony, which is the 4th annual event, will be taped on October 17th at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles, California. The official premier will be on Spike TV on Tuesday, October 27th (10pm PST). As is tradition, the two hour event will debut exclusive world premieres from some of the most anticipated upcoming 2010 movies, as well as performances by the hottest musical talents of 2009.
