See ‘The Lost Boys’ and ‘Buffy’ Stars in the Best Vampire Episode EVER!

Psych is one of my favorite shows and my love for it grew tenfold after this week’s episode, titled “This Episode Sucks,” which was all about vampires. If that’s not awesome enough, the episode had some fangtastic cameos – Corey Feldman (The Lost Boys), Kristy Swanson (Buffy the Vampire Slayer – the movie) and Tom Lenk (Buffy the Vampire Slayer – the series)! Best vampire episode ever!

For those new to Psych it is a comedy about a guy named Shawn who has developed a keen eye for detail after being instructed by his police officer father to note even the tiniest details of his surroundings. After conning the police into believing that he’s a psychic, Shawn opens a detective agency with best friend Gus and together they solve crimes in the most ridiculously funny ways.

Here’s the hilarious promo for “This Episode Sucks:”

Psych is definitely one of the funniest TV shows I have ever seen, I love it! And I love it so much more after “This Episode Sucks.” In this episode Shawn and Gus believe a vampire is roaming the city killing off innocent victims. Buh buh buuum! Throughout their hunt for answers all sorts of hilarity ensues, like Shawn dressing up as Lestat and Gus dressing up as Blackula (even though everyone thinks he is Count Chocula).

We also briefly meet Corey Feldman’s character, who is the owner of a vampire club. His scene is short, but fantastic.

Tom Lenk, who played Andrew in the Buffy the Vampire TV series, was also only in the episode for a short time, but his role kicked ass. I wish we saw more of Tom on TV.

As for Kristy Swanson, she was in the entire episode and played the role of one of the main character’s love interest. Even though I hate the Buffy movie, I was happy to see her in this vampire episode.

The episode was one of the funniest Psych has ever had, if you ever check out the show I highly suggest checking that one out.

Moonlight (aka Amanda) loves to write about, read about and learn about everything pertaining to vampires. You will most likely find her huddled over a book of vampire folklore with coffee in hand. Touch her coffee and she may bite you (and not in the fun way).
