Sex, Blood and Mythology

Let’s take a look at Ancient Greek mythology – you have a handful of petty gods and with them, countless monsters that come in all shapes and sizes. Nothing new there, but… did you know that hidden among all of those monsters and myths there was a vampire in there? And she’s the lustful, ravenous blood drinker known as the Empusa.

These wicked females were said to be sent by the goddess Hecate, and they were the fear of many men at one point in time. Which is actually pretty common of female vampires since it’s usually the men they attack. Ha ha. Anyway, these villainous vixens would change into the form of an incredibly sexy young woman and then would lure men to their beds for a wild and passionate night of sex and… blood. You see, behind their beautiful illusion they were actually demonic beings with a horrifying appearance. An Empusa’s true form is that of a creature with flaming hair and mismatched legs – one leg made of brass and the other that was the leg of a donkey.

The old myth says that once an Empusa got hold of a young man she would fatten him up and then drink down every delicious drop of his blood, and sometimes she would then eat his flesh. Yummy.

But, like most monsters this one can be defeated. Lets say you’re a man and a too good to be true woman seductively walks your way with eyes full of hunger. You, being the clever man you are, manage to discover that she’s an Empusa. Now, you can do one of two things, you can either go ahead and have the best sex of your life and die a very happy man OR you can get rid of her. To get rid of her all you have to do is insult her and she’ll run away in tears. Apparently, the Empusa has the self esteem of a 13-year-old girl so that’s all it takes. She’s especially sensitive about her bronze donkey feet so make sure to tease her about that and you’re in the safe.
