Share Your Thoughts on The Vampire Diaries “The Five”

It’s time to share your thoughts on the latest episode of The Vampire Diaries! Season 4, Episode 4, “The Five,” just aired and it was an episode packed full of blood and revelations. Below are my thoughts on the episode and the promo for next week’s episode. Make sure to share your opinion on “The Five” as well!

Official plot synopsis for “The Five:”

A FRAT PARTY AND A FLASHBACK TO 12TH CENTURY ITALY — Damon (Ian Somerhalder) goes with Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Bonnie (Kat Graham) to visit Whitmore College, where Professor Shane (guest star David Alpay, “The Borgias”) is taking over the Occult Studies classes formerly taught by Bonnie’s grandmother.  At a fraternity costume party, Damon takes advantage of the wild scene to give Elena a lesson in choosing a victim.  Rebekah’s (Claire Holt) attempt to buy Matt’s (Zach Roerig) forgiveness falls flat, but she is intrigued by unexpected news from Klaus (Joseph Morgan).  When Stefan (Paul Wesley) questions Klaus about Connor’s (guest star Todd Williams) motives, Klaus reveals a long-ago encounter with a powerful group of vampire hunters, but it’s Rebekah who delivers the information that stuns Stefan.  Joshua Butler directed the episode written by Brett Matthews & Rebecca Sonnenshine.

I have mixed feelings about the episode. I loved the flashbacks and the story about The Five. I found that all interesting. I did not like how incredibly weak Elena was most of this episode. She was having so much fun at the party, then she just went into panic mode. Lame. She’s not even killing anyone! Why is being a vampire so hard for her? Ugh. I am also not a fan of the whole “cure” thing. But, depending on how the story goes it could be awesome. We’ll see.

Here’s a list of things I liked and disliked in this episode.

Likes:

  • Damon’s vampire training. He’s pretty damn good at being a vampire.
  • Shirtless Connor mmmm.
  • The flashbacks and story of The Five.

Dislikes:

  • Klaus being so horrible to Rebekah in the flashback after her lover stabbed her.
  • The cure. I like Elena as a vampire (as long as she stops pissing and moaning about it)!
  • Bonnie getting involved with the shady professor who is working with Connor.

Here’s the promo for next week’s episode “The Killer:”

Moonlight (aka Amanda) loves to write about, read about and learn about everything pertaining to vampires. You will most likely find her huddled over a book of vampire folklore with coffee in hand. Touch her coffee and she may bite you (and not in the fun way).

  2. Elena is getting on my nerves complaining al the time she asked damon to help her and when he does she’s all like you’re teaching the wrong way! It’s getting to the point of hating her !
