Should You Let In LET US IN?

We all know that you should only ever let the right one in. But it’s not always so easy to tell who the right one is. This is especially true of movies. The exclusive clip from Bloody Disgusting makes LET US IN look promising, but looks can be deceiving (which is kind of the point of the movie, right?). Based on the urban legend-slash-genuine paranormal phenomenon the Black-Eyed Children (it drives this English major crazy to see the first two words not hyphenated), who, or that, depending on whether or not they qualify as people, might be vampires. According to the lore/eyewitness accounts, the Black-Eyed Children can’t enter a home or automobile unless invited, so in that respect they are like the vampires of folklore. Some of the vampires of folklore. Thus the heavies in the movie might be vampires or they might only be vampire-like.

Here’s the synopsis: “A spirited twelve-year-old girl and her best friend look to uncover the sudden disappearances of several missing teens in their small town. Realizing there might be something deeper happening, Emily and Christopher might be up against forces they can’t even imagine.” Check out that exclusive clip here. Honestly it looks a little hokey, but it’s hard to tell from such a short piece of footage. LET US IN will have started streaming by the time you read this article.
