The Strain Preview

Very few times have I ever been more surprised by a series than I was with The Strain. I had heard about it, questioned the concept, and then was asked to review it. I had written a small blip about it here and there without much knowledge other than a news article which had come across my desk along with hundreds of others. I guess my boss felt my review would be very straight forward since I had never read, seen or heard much about ‘The Strain‘ before receiving the promotion package sent by FX.

I opened the pack, and placed the first of four episodes in my Blu-ray, sat down unsure what to expect, but within the first 7 minutes of the show, I was hooked. The writing is amazing and the directing keeps you on the edge of your seat just about every minute of the program. Before I knew it, I was up yelling at the characters (as if they could hear me) to stop them from unwittingly unleashing this vampire and his minions on New York. By the time the fourth episode was over, I was devastated I would have to wait till August to see episode 5 to find out what was going to happen to my favorite characters.

This show will surely be a huge hit for FX, and a new fan favorite for all those vampire lovers out there. This Sunday night at 10pm on the FX network will be the first of many incredible episodes. I will be discussing parts of the show everyday this week, without spoiling anything for you. So, check in everyday for a some show info to one of my new favorite shows.
