The hit show Supernatural is awesome all on its own – it has an excellent storyline full of magical beasties, two gorgeous lead actors and a hilarious, yet dark, script. But, the show has recently been made even more awesome by the vamp-tacular guest stars it has had. We’ve got stars from both Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, and most recently, an actress from The Vampire Diaries. Check out the the list of Supernatural’s best guest stars:
Amy Acker
Amy played the role of Fred (and later Illyria) in Angel. She was one of the most adorable characters ever to be on the show, and then later one of the most heartbreaking. In her guest role on Supernatural she played Andrea in Dead in the Water, the third episode of season 1, where her Dean and Sam help her with a ghost problem.
Amber Benson
Amber played the sweet witch Tara in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. In Supernatural, she played… a vampire. She played the role of vampire Lenore in two episodes of Supernatural – Bloodlust in season 2 and Mommy Dearest in season 6.
Charisma Carpenter and James Marsters
Charisma and James reunited again to star in the same episode of Supernatural! Yay! Charisma played Cordelia in both Buffy and Angel, and James played one of the sexiest vampires ever – Spike. In Supernatural, these two played a married witch couple in the episode Shut Up, Dr. Phil, which was the fifth episode of season 7.
Sara Canning
Ever since Sara Canning’s character, Jenna, was killed off in The Vampire Diaries, we’ve been wondering when she’d pop up next – and it’s in Supernatural. She plays Lydia, a fun-living lust interest for Dean, in an upcoming episode. The rumor is that it will be episode 13 in the current season (season 7).
Supernatural is picking up all kinds of beloved actors and actresses big in the vampire world. Yay Supernatural!
Are there any other actors or actresses I missed? Let me know in a comment below if you’ve spotted other vampire stars in Supernatural.
