SyFy’s ‘Being Human’ Coming Back for a Second Season!

SyFy recently announced that they will be renewing Being Human for a second season! The series, which is a remake of the BBC show of the same name, drew an impressive 2.14 million viewers in its second episode and has an overall average of 1.8 million viewers per episode – which makes it a huge winner for SyFy.

Now we get to continue to watch the weekly adventures of Aiden, Josh and Sally! Who, if you are new to the show, are a vampire, a werewolf and a ghost. The show is about these three sharing a house together and try to live a normal life despite being less than average. It shows how difficult it is being human, and gives viewers a new insight into the very different hardships each “monster” faces.

I am so ridiculously happy that this show is getting a second season! Fans of the original may hate me for this, but I couldn’t stand the UK’s Being Human. I gave it a shot, I really did, but it was just too cheesy to stomach and I found the actors incredibly annoying. The SyFy version though, I love it! I think the actors do a fantastic job portraying their very unique characters and the battles they all go through.  The entire show kicks ass – the actors and their roles, the storylines and themes that blend into one another, the deeper psychological aspects of each being, even the humor is dead on and always comes at just the right moment. Goodness, I’ve turned into a SyFy Being Human fangirl!

New episodes of SyFy’s Being Human are currently airing on Monday nights on the SyFy channel at 9 pm EST.

Any other remake fans here excited about the show continuing? Or do you prefer the original UK version? Let us know in a comment below!

  3. I love them both the only reason the British one comes off corny is mainly cuz of the large difference in budget Toby whithouse the creator was talking about how the na version has like about 3times the budget and that commonly in the BBC shows do get a limited budget even if they are extremely popular I guess it’s the idea that less is more unlike us Americans where it’s like nah fuck that throw some bacon on that bitch

  4. I watched the first season of the UK version but never got to the next one. I guess if I run out of shows, I’ll do it but until then… Go SyFy!

  5. Hooray!! I really like this show, it’s so different from anything else that’s on. Can you say reality t.v.(yuck). when does the 2nd season start?
