The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 is coming soon and with it a whole slew of new vampires. In the Twilight series are various vampire covens, covens that fans have seen a bit of in past movies, but in Breaking Dawn Part 2 you’ll be seeing a lot more of these vamps. For those that need a bit of a refresher on the many covens found in the Twilight Saga, have a look below.
The Amazon Coven
This coven consists of Zafrina, Kachiri, and Senna, who reside in the rain forests of South America. The members are natives of the Pantanal wetlands. Even though they live in an area with little human population, the sisters consume the traditional diet of human blood. They never interact with humans except when hunting; they do not associate with them or act like them. They are feral and rarely leave the wetlands.
The Denali Coven
This coven consists of Kate, Garrett, Carmen, Eleazar, and Tanya, and are one of the two known vegetarian vampire covens i
n the world. They are very close to the Cullen coven, being one of the Cullens’ most loyal allies, going so far as considering themselves their extended family. The Denali Coven is located in Denali, Alaska, which, along with their vegetarian diet, allows its members to live alongside humans with little trouble.
The Egyptian Coven
This one consists of Amun, Kebi, Benjamin, and Tia, with Amun as the leader. They are located somewhere in Egypt and it’s 
said that even though they are not a biological family, they could pass for one. This coven feeds on human blood. Also, they are all mated.
The French Coven
This coven doesn’t actually appear in the books, but they will be in Breaking Dawn Part 2. It is unknown whether they side with the Cullens or the Volturi. All that we do know it that it only has two members: Henri and Yvette. In an interview, Melissa Rosenberg said that the Volturi is trying to collect them, probably because of their gifts.
Hilda’s Coven
According to The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide, Hilda’s coven was a group of six female vampires, founded by Hilda. The other members were Mary, Heidi, Anne, Victoria and Noela. This coven was destroyed between late 1560s and early 1570s when the Volturi accused them of drawing too much attention from mortals. Only two survived the Volturi: Heidi who become their servant due to her gift and Victoria who escaped and ended up with James.
The Irish Coven
The members of this coven are Siobhan, Liam, and Maggie, with Siobhan being the leader. They are located in Ireland, and while they feed on humans, they are civilized. Even though Siobhan is the leader, she and her mate, Liam, trust Maggie’s judgment because of her gift to sense lies when she hears one.
James’ Coven
As everyone who has read the books and watched the movies knows, James’ coven no longer exists. This coven was created by James, and consisted of Victoria, Laurent, and James. James, who loved to hunt, sought out the company of other vampires in order to use their help in his tracking games. The coven was nomadic and wandered the northern United States. James had the gift of tracking and Victoria had enhanced self-preservation.
The Mexican Coven
This coven was founded by Maria who used it to raise an army of newborn vampires with the help of two stray vampires, Lucy and Nettie. Its main purpose was to win back the land that Maria had lost during the lesser hostilities that continued after the Volturi put an end to the wars. This coven lived on human blood and consisted mostly of often-replaced male newborns. Only Maria is presently part of this coven since Lucy and Nettie had been disposed of for betrayal, and Maria’s right hand, Jasper Whitlock, had left for the North and ended up with the Cullens. She is currently still creating newborns to protect her territory and executing them after their first year.
The Olympic Coven (aka The Cullen Coven)
A coven we all know well. They are a coven of vegetarian vampires that consists of Carlisle, Esme, Alice, Emmett, and Edward Cullen, as well as Rosalie and Jasper Hale. Later in the series, Bella Swan and her vampire hybrid daughter with Edward, Renesmee Cullen, are also introduced to the coven.
The Romanian Coven
A coven located somewhere in Romania. They were the original ruling coven until the Volturi came to power and overthrew 
them between 400 and 500 AD. They once consisted of many vampires, not it’s only Vladimir and Stefan.
Sancar’s Harem
A coven created by a Turkish vampire named Sancar, though it was really a harem of gorgeous female vampires under Sancar’s control. This coven was destroyed by Siobhan when she killed Sancar.
