The title of this article may piss off some uber-proto-feminist type, but it’s meant to be facetious. I’ve been accused of being a feminist myself, but I dislike the term, possibly because it has been hijacked by extremist nutjobs. I prefer “equalist,” since I believe that men and women deserve equal treatment. I think this is the first time I’ve publicly coined that term, so if it catches on remember you read it here first. It’s MY word, dangit!
So…IS Dutch a ho’? Because she was with that chick (who was such a non-entity in the series, even when she was on-screen, that I honestly can’t even remember her name, and was so inconsequential to the overall plot that she made her grand exit from the show OFF-screen), then she was with Fet, then she left Fet to go back to the non-entity girlfriend, then the NEG (non-entity girlfriend) dumped her, and now she’s hooked up with Eph. On the surface it does appear a little slutty, or at the least desperate. Also we should remember that in Strain time only a few weeks have passed since everything started. (Has it even been a month yet?) Dutch does seem to get around. But we should also (again) remember that she’s been through a lot. Tortured by Eichorst, and probably expecting to die pretty soon, even as she fights the good fight against the Strigoi. Maybe she just figures, why not? I mean, if you’re gonna die anyway, right?
