The big day is coming up fast; October 27th, just a few days from Halloween, is the Vampire/Werewolf Summit of 2009. The event is free when you buy at least one drink, and at a party like this, how can you say no to one or two Extra Bloody Marys? The event takes place at Comix in NYC, located at 353 West 14th St.. Representing vampire slaves are Joe Garden and Janet Ginsburg, accompanied by Ritch Duncan and Bob Powers, who are representing Lycanthrope Activists, –truly a noble cause in a world where werewolves endure mobs, silver bullets, and mass-produced wolf’s bane.
Those are just a few of the handful of great guests there to direct their attention to truly controversial issues dealing with werewolves and vampires, such as:
– coexisting with an easily startled 21st century populace
– dealing with a pitchfork-wielding mobs
– addressing the use of the term “monster,” and of course
– who would win in a fight [vampires or werewolves]
And as the show’s producers have asked, we now re-iterate, –what better place to discuss these issues than in a comedy club? Surely, the world at large won’t suspect a thing! If you’ve got pride in your fangs, or in your fur, head over to the Comix club, and get in free when you buy a drink. Drink prices are cheap, the entertainment’s great, and no one will be bothering yo about your tail, or your cape. Christian Finnegan will be there in the role of Moderator, to insure that maiming, murders, and the feedings on innocent humans remain at a minimum, as well as to make sure that each sensitive werewolf topic is fully discussed. With luck, there may even be a few vampire-werewolf political breakthroughs!
