Top 10 Ugliest Vampires

Vampires nowadays are known for their incredible beauty – You’ve got the cuties in Twilight, the damn sexy men in True Blood and even an entire gorgeous cast in Vampire Diaries. But, any real horror fan will tell you that vampires aren’t supposed to be sexy, they’re supposed to be horrifying and repulsive. So here’s a shoutout to the top 10 ugliest vampires:

1. Reggie Calder from Salem’s Lot

Salem’s Lot was a television mini-series released in 1979 that was based on a Stephen King novel, and not only did it scare the hell out of people, but it also has one ugly ass vamp in it, a vamp with some messed up teeth.

2. Santanico Pandemonium: From Dusk Till Dawn

Salma Hayek usually looks absolutely flawless, but damn, the makeup team on this movie managed to make her look awful.

3. Jared Nomak from Blade 2

My goodness, that mouth…wow. One of the most memorable things about that movie was its unique, but nasty, vampires.

4. Mark Metcalf from Buffy the Vampire Slayer

The Master was probably one of the ugliest villains on the show. While most of the vampires in Buffy were good looking, or at least human looking, this guy was a hideous monster.

5. Amy Peterson from Fright Night

Yea, you’ve got the creepy red eyes, the massively massive mouth and fangs, bad makeup and the old and hideous hair. Not sexy at all.

6. Grandpa Munster from The Munsters

Ok ok, he isn’t disgusting and creepy like the others but either way he is no Edward.

7. Nosferatu from Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror

This classic vampire has it all – the creepy face down to the creepy hands.

8. Radu from Subspecies

Yea, the misshapen face is all this one needs to be horrible.

9. Dracula from Bram Stoker’s Dracula

I am talking the old man version of him, not the young one. He wasn’t even a little attractive.

10.  Dwight Renfield from The Night Flier

Do I even need to say anything here? This has got to be the ugliest of them all!

Moonlight (aka Amanda) loves to write about, read about and learn about everything pertaining to vampires. You will most likely find her huddled over a book of vampire folklore with coffee in hand. Touch her coffee and she may bite you (and not in the fun way).

  3. Haha, oh yeah! Radu! *Pets her Subspecies box set* I checked this list just to make sure he was there hehe. Man >_x I forgot about some of those other ones *shudders* gotta get those images out of my head again.

  4. Amy from Fright Night reminds me of that Japanese Urban legend called Kuchisake-Onna, The Split-Mouthed Woman. The story was about a woman who was very beautiful and was married to or was the concubine of a samurai, however the samurai was very jealous and the woman was very vain and self-absorbed, and the samurai felt that she was cheating on him and attacked her in a fit of rage splitting her mouth from ear to ear screaming “Who will find you beautiful now?!” In the modern variaton of the legend it was a fouled plastic surgery procedure that had caused the split. She is often seen wearing a trench coat and wearing a surgical mask and wielding a bladed weapon either a pair of sisscors, a knife or a sickle to slash peoples mouths when she asks them “Do you find me beautiful?” when she has the mask on the victim will say yes to be polite but when she removes the mask she will ask you “Am I still beautiful?” this is where the victim almost meets a fatal if they tell her no. If they say yes she will let them go and kill them on their doorstep, give them a large ruby and walks away or cut the victims mouth to resemble hers. There are certain ways you can escape from Kuchisake-Onna is to tell her she is average, she looks normal, you have another engagment you have to attend to or distract her with something attractive such as some fruit or some candy. Telling her she looks average will confuse her and gives you time to escape while she is in thought or if you give her the fruit or the candy you can escape while she is eating the treats. That is what Amy from Fright Night reminds me of is the Kuchisake-Onna because of her mouth.

  5. Hey! nice list, I wanted to tell you that you made a mistake the photograph of Buffy is actually a TurokHan vampire not the Master!but nice work anywas ;)!
