Toronto Hosts Twilight Convention This Weekend

If any Twilight fans happen to be in the Toronto area this weekend you might want to head over to the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel for the first ever Ontario Twilight Convention.

Special guests of the convention include Chaske Spencer (Sam Uley) appearing Saturday and Sunday for photo ops and autographs as well as on stage appearances and a Sunday morning breakfast. Alex Meraz (Paul) will also be making appearances Saturday and Sunday for photos and autographs as well as Sunday breakfast. Other confirmed guests include Bronson Pelletier (Jared), Kiowa Gordon (Embry Call), Charlie Bewley ( Demetri of the Volturi), Julia Jones (Leah Clearwater) and BooBoo Stewart (Seth Clearwater).

There is more to do than just taking photos and getting autographs. Friday night is Karaoke night, complete with prizes and featuring special guest host Julia Jones. Saturday night is the Volturi Vampire Ball where guests can dress up in their best vampire costumes and compete for prizes for both best costumes and best dancers. On Sunday there’s a Brunch and Charity Silent Auction. Celebrity guests at the brunch include Alex Meraz, Bronson Pelletier, Kiowa Gordon, BooBoo Stewart and Chaske Spencer. Other events include Twilight Trivia Games and a Vampire Ball Centrepiece Contest.

Twilight Lexicon will also be there presenting exclusive panels such as a showing of The Real Forks along with a Q&A on Friday, Tales From the Black Carpet describing what it’s like at a movie premiere on Saturday and Twilight Saga Set Visit including video interviews with Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner on Sunday.

The convention is hosted by Hannah and Hilly Hindi, creators of The Hillywood Show who will be appearing with their cast members Drew Lorentz, Jacob Jost and Kyle Dayton. The Hillywood Show is known for their Twilight and New Moon parodies.
