Thanks to the awesome that is Comic-Con, we have all kinds of True Blood spoilers and hints at what’s to come! The cast and producer held a panel where they answered all sorts of questions about the current season. They revealed some juicy details about sex, bromances, flashbacks and more. Plus, they shared a season trailer at Comic-com as well. Check out the goodies below!
Bromance: Bill (Stephen Moyer) and Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) were forced to team up this season and their bromance was awesome! “We’ve had a little too much fun together,” Skarsgard said. “It’s been four years of us fighting over Sookie [Anna Paquin], so now it’s a Butch Cassidy Sundance Kid moment… and we have a common enemy.”
Sexy times: We all know True Blood has had some pretty hardcore sex scenes in the past, and this season is no different. “There are definitely some very hot sex scenes and there are some wacky, ‘what the fuck?’ sex scenes,” Alan Ball said. “Between those two, all tastes will be satisfied.” And luckily Alcide (Joe Manganiello) will be one of the ones getting down and dirty: “I sexually eviscerate another cast member in one of the episodes coming up,” Manganiello teased. It also sounded like at least one sex scene will happen in the upcoming Moyer-directed episode airing Sunday, July 29. “It was amazing. I got to see Joe naked,” Moyer said. Haha!
Romance: It’s not all about sex though. Ball teased that there will be three new romances this season. “There’s also a lot of other people having sex, but those don’t count as romances,” Ball added.
More flashbacks: Sookie and Jason’s parents have been popping up in Jason’s dreams a lot lately, and Ball says we’ll see more of them in different ways. “We’re going to learn a little bit more about Michelle and Corbett Stackhouse, what happened to them and the effect on Sookie and particularly Jason,” he said.
Were-tigers: We get to see were-tigers this season! Though they will be introduced at the end of Season 5, Ball said that there are no plans to make them main characters on the show. However, he did note that he’s stepping down as showrunner, so the writers may bring the were-tigers on next season without him.
Faerie war: Ball also said that with him stepping down, that there’s a possibility of seeing the novel’s faerie war before the show eventually ends.
Lots of big spoilers and hints revealed at Comic-Con. I love Comic-Con!
