True Blood Season 4: Plot Synopsis for Ep. 1!

So what exactly is supposed to happen in this first episode? That’s the thing, we get so excited for our favorite shows to come back on air, and when they do show up, the first episode is almost always a HUGE tease. Nothing important actually happens, nothing is resolved, –the conflicts usually don’t even make themselves fully visible until midway through the season. But without the first few episodes, the conflicts that keep us enthralled would never be established… despite the vague process involved. So what will happen? Will we pick up where we left off? Will we see any resolution? How long till we find out where Tara is? Gasp! So many questions! And I might just be able to answer a few too, –with the help of the big Internet Blog-o-sphere.

Episode 1 premiers June 26th (sucks that we have to wait over a month for more awesome vampire action after VD takes its season break) and the good people over at ScreenRant have been kind enough to dig up a proper synopsis for Season 4 Episode 1 of True Blood:

“Sookie journeys away from Bon Temps; Eric and Bill try to win back the human public; Jason learns that no good deed goes unpunished; Tara finds refuge in close quarters; Sam bonds with his own; Hoyt and Jessica debate the dinner menu; Jesus urges Lafayette to join a coven; Terry tries to alleviate Arlene’s fears about the baby.

They also mentioned that the promo (watch below this post) sucks, –lots of vague hand movements, –and gives pretty much no information about the actual episode. Bummer. But there is a ray of hope, because they hint that Russell Edgington will be making his return, –at some point this season. It sounds like a great first episode, for the most part. I’m definitely hooked with the allusion to Jason Stackhouse’s issues beginning in Hotshot, but I can’t help but hope this new experience will make him, if not more intelligent, then definitely more responsible. And the whole “Tara finds refuge in close quarters” thing? With any luck, that means that she’s gone to jail, and will not be sucking all the interest out of every single episode this season.
