Whether you’re a fan of the books, or the show, or are oblivious to Charlaine Harris’s novels (shame on you!), one cannot possibly dispute the popularity of True Blood. With perfect timing, HBO introduced its new supernatural thriller series (after the untimely death of Carnivale, HBO looked pretty villainous to the genre fans en masse), to fit right in with the anticipation for New Moon, the next film in the Twilight trilogy, by Stephenie Meyer. At the end of the first season, those of us who hadn’t read the books were shocked, appalled and surprised; myself especially… I thought Rene was pretty sexy, actually, with that fake Creole accent.
The vampire craze has driven us all to the brink, and we had to wait, and wait for more True Blood, like starving undead ourselves. And finally! Sunday night, at 9 p.m., Season 2 premiered on HBO. If you haven’t seen it yet, don’t worry, we won’t give anything away! But watch out, because we’ll be re-capping Season 1, one episode at a time. So if you haven’t seen the first season, tune into HBO to catch all those fabulous re-runs that were both a bane, and a boon to starved True Blood fans. For those of you who love True Blood trivia, we might even offer the occasional pop quiz.
Vampires.com will keep you posted on True Blood news, trivia, and facts as soon as we get them. Consider it our gift to you! But if True Blood doesn’t tickle your vampiric funny bone, don’t worry, we’ll also be covering news and information on Twilight, and the new Vampire diaries series starting this fall! Stay tuned for more fanged fun!
