TV Review and Ratings Recap: THE PASSAGE Episode Eight
“You Are Not That Girl Anymore”
Man. Only one more week. Only two more episodes. I really didn’t intend to fall as hard for this show as I did. I’m going to miss it when it’s gone.
Just for curiosity’s sake, this week’s episode was directed by Ti West. If his name sounds familiar to you, well, it should. He’s the writer-slash-director of some top quality films, among them THE ROOST, THE INNKEEPERS, THE HOUSE OF THE DEVIL, and THE SACRAMENT.
Okay, so what’s the chance of us getting a second season of this show once this season wraps? The ratings for the two-part finale next week will likely be the final deciding factor, but it certainly won’t help that ratings were down a point again this week, although holding steady from last week with a 0.8/4 share and watched by some 3.39 million people. It has a 0.98 ranking in the 18-49 demographic, though, which is the most important demographic to networks. It could go either way at this point. I just hope the season doesn’t end on a cliffhanger. Cliffhangers without resolution suck!
WAYNE MILLER is the owner and creative director of EVIL CHEEZ PRODUCTIONS, specializing in theatrical performances and haunted attractions. He has written, produced, and directed (and occasionally acted in) over two dozen plays, most of them in the Horror and True Crime genres. He obtained a doctorate in Occult Studies from Miskatonic University and is an active paranormal investigator. Is frequently told he resembles Anton Lavey. And Ming the Merciless.
