Two New ‘Buffy’ Releases!
That right Buffy fans, weâve got two new goodies to be excited about! First is the release of Jones Soda line of Buffy themed drinks and the second being the Buffy the Vampire Slayer motion comic. Wooo!
Buffy The Vampire Slayer Soda
Jones Soda recently announced the release of an awesome new line of their tasty soda drinks – Limited Edition Buffy The Vampire Slayer Soda! Hereâs a look at the flavors:
1. Buffy’s Blue Bubblegum
2. Willow’s Green Apple Witch’s Brew
3. Giles’s Grape Potion
4. Dawnâs Centaur Root Beer
5. Xanderâs Strawberry Lime Elixer
6. Twilightâs Old Moon Orange and Cream
As you can see from the labels, these are based on the season 8 comic book (which picked up where the show left off). The drinks were unveiled at 2010 San Diego Comic-Con this week, but lucky us, they have also been made available for those who are not at Comic-Con this year. You can buy a 6-pack for $12.99 or a 12-pack for $21.99.
Buffy The Vampire Slayer Motion Comic
As I mentioned above, the Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season Eight comic picks up where the show left off. Buffy and Xander move to Scotland following the activation of thousands of slayers around the world and the destruction of hell mouth Sunnydale. Buffy leads a new fight against an even bigger evil – the U.S. government. But of course, thereâs vampires zombies and other beasties.
The new motion comic is based on the award-winning comic book series, which has been named Comic Book of the Year and Best New Series. The first episode in the series is available on iTunes now, with new episodes added weekly.
If you donât have iTunes, donât worry, all 19 episodes are set to hit DVD on January 4th, 2011. Fox will also be releasing reprint of the first book in the comic book series in January.
Moonlight (aka Amanda) loves to write about, read about and learn about everything pertaining to vampires. You will most likely find her huddled over a book of vampire folklore with coffee in hand. Touch her coffee and she may bite you (and not in the fun way).
