‘Underworld 4: New Dawn’ Plot Finally Released!

Yes, at long last the official plot for the fourth Underworld movie, Underworld 4: New Dawn, has been released! Remember a few months ago when I wrote about all the rumors surrounding this flick, about how the ridiculous idea was that *censored* and *censored* were going to have a *censored*? Yeah, it turns out that that silly rumor was true!

Check out the official synopsis:

“Here is where we had the very short plot synopsis, but Sony sent us a Cease and Desist Anti-Piracy notice demanding we remove them. Sorry.”

When I first heard this my initial thoughts were “NoooOOoOOoOooo.” I really do not like the idea of a *censored* added to the awesome mix. However, the Underworld movies always kick ass, so even with a *censored* I am sure that this one will rock as well. I just wish they had given us a longer, less mysterious plot outline. This one just brings up a million questions – Why was *censored* in a *censored*? Where is *censored*? Was her *censored* kept from her, why did *censored* have to “find” her? So many questions!

At least we finally got SOME info on this flick, it’s not much, but it’s something. Other than that, we know that Kate Beckinsale is returning as Selene and that Swedish directors Mans Marlind and Bjorn Stein will be tackling this project with a planned release on January 20, 2012 in 3-D.

In other news, casting is still underway for Underworld 4. Hmm, I wonder who will play *censored*? What *censored* would you like to see play her?

So guys, what do you think? Now that the rumors have been proven to be true and the film really is about a *censored*- yay or nay?

Moonlight (aka Amanda) loves to write about, read about and learn about everything pertaining to vampires. You will most likely find her huddled over a book of vampire folklore with coffee in hand. Touch her coffee and she may bite you (and not in the fun way).

  1. I wouldn’t say that the third film kicked ass. It was passable. Methinks they’re cashing in on the Twilight phase. And the 3D elements adds nothing, unless there’s going to be Selene naked with giant 3D breasts coming out the screen, in which case I’ll cut my own arm off to see it.

    1. To each their own, I loved the third film.
Also, 3D films may not be popular where you live, but they are ridiculously popular in the US.

    2. I will only catch it on dvd someday. The third movie was not that bad. I do not know why some people hate Rise of the Lycans. The second movie was the weakest in my book. I enjoy not watching reality but the vampire/lycan hybrid thing ruined this series in my view. But then again the vampire shoot them up movies did not help portray vampires that well in the first place. I liked interview with a vampire but so far Let the Right One In is the the best vampire movie.

  7. @THRON777 (Nov. 25 2010): You said you think a 4th Underworld film would be trying to “cash in” on Twilight, but how can the Underworld be attempting to “cash in ” when the first 2 films came out before Twilight was even in bookstores? Underworld prt 1 came out in ’02 and the movies are very popular- always have been. They made werewolves look kinda badass again.

    1. Because there is literally no need for the 4th installment. Even the third was totally pointless as it filled in nothing plot wise. There wasn’t anything revealed that hadn’t already been said in the first or second film. It was made for the sake of it, it’d become a cash cow instead of anything resembling a credible storyline.
It’s just going down the route of the Resident Evil films that are so vacuous and nonsensical it’s barely even worth watching for the action (read: bullet time).
I’m just waiting for the analogous announcement of a fourth LOTR where it turns out Sauron had a secret child and it follows the many children of Sam as they plod through Middle Earth meeting all the old characters to try and appease fanboys, in a tedious attempt to stop the child Sauron’s devious new scheme.
Hollywood needs to learn to let things go before they resemble mouldy pulp that used to be a dead horse. An idea that the makers of Shrek failed to grasp for years.

  8. Dakota Fanning or Alexandra Daddario as the daughter i think…. You know what I’d like to see it now Selene is a day walker… Although in films these days most Vampires are. Why can’t people stick to the old fashion way of Vampires melting in daylight?? even in daybreakers the vampires become day walkers… Holywood!!!! Should be good either way….
