‘Vampire Academy’s Creator Talks About What We Can Expect

Being a teenager is hard, even for the undead. Nobody understands this better than Richelle Mead, author of the witty YA series Vampire Academy.

Richelle Mead has become more than well known to me since I’ve started writing on the night desk, and she’s telling fans not to worry, the movie will do her book the justice it deserves. She says the movie is adapted in a way to make people who have yet to read her series, love and understand her characters, as much as her current fans. Ms. Mead has chosen a scarce Romanian myth of duality for her book’s folklore inspiration to give a larger complexity to her vampires, and their issues. I can’t wait to see the movie. Who is your favorite class of vampire?
