There you have it! All of the vampire books coming out during my birthday month. There are a lot of bestseller goodies on the way! Apparently July 2nd is vampire day or something. Which books do you plan on picking up?
– Moonlight
preordered macreive, affliction, kitty in the underworld, & night vision a while ago, very glad to see red dawn&fangs for nothing on the list, I read those series, thanks! now to go to the bookstore to order…yay! happy birthmonth by the way. :)
Lol, thank you :)
i took a glance at The new vampire read,s for july i would to read some
samples
have you read any of the authors before? the ones im fond of have a series, perhaps your library has some of their older works so you can see the writing style & characters. I really like carrie Vaughn&laurell k Hamilton(though her style changed) and started on the indigo court series because I liked yasmine gallenorns other series w/the d’argo sisters. I read a lot of books.
Yawn. Fiercely independent women, the dashingly handsome men, it’s all so been there done that. Where’s the gay and/or lesbian paranormal romances? Those would be a tad more interesting, in my humble opinion.
I have seen a few.
Gay and lesbian paranormal romances are also “been there done that.” I have lost count of how many I have read. Just recently read Lover At Last by J.R. Ward. It’s a vampire romance about two men. It’s also a hugely popular series. There are also gay characters in the Anita Blake books (the new one is mentioned above). I don’t get the attitude seeing how you obviously haven’t read all of these books and therefore have no idea whether or not the books and series have homoerotic storylines.
oh&dont forget menolly&nerissa in yasmine galenoen’s otherworld series. same w/kim harrisons hollows books&ivy. I figured everyone read anita now. in fact the more I think on it there are a LOT in the books I read. I never realized how much I read until I started a list in my head&realized I could fill a few pages off the top of my head. :)
just finished affliction, night vision¯eive are next…big stack of books&more to come, thanks again for the list
Did you like Affliction?
very much, the author’s style has changed over the years, but the characters are great. l.k.h. always leaves you wanting more. ive even more questions at the end as always. its a very addictive series, I read it in 2 days, the mail was slow so I had to avoid everyone who went out that day&picked up their copy. have you ever read any laurel k. Hamilton? anita blake series is my favorite, she has a stand alone nightseeker, a merry gentry series,&she wrote a ravenloft book or 2. anita is my favorite series, but whats truly amazing is the change in the writing style&character development in the many years she has been writing anita. the anita of guilty pleasures&the anita of affliction are worlds apart&im glad to have read her character evolution. (more recent anita is not for the prudish.) the biggest thing is they really must be read in order or you miss character nuances that lead up to plot twists three books ahead. she can still surprise her fans.
I actually took a break from reading anything vampiric, but wow, when i’m done reading what i’m reading now, I would love to read my vampires again, lol
