‘Vampire Boys’ Will Either Arouse or Appall You

…probably the latter. While scanning the interwebs I came across an interesting little movie titled Vampire Boys. Looking at the cover of the film you may assume that it’s campy gay porn, or a poster for some cheesy boy band, but apparently it’s neither, Vampire Boys is just a regular vampire flick. Ahahaha… yeeeah.

“Jasin and his vampire brood’s time is running out. In order for them to survive, Jasin needs to find a mortal to turn into a vampire to spend eternity with. Los Angeles provides plenty of young candidates. The brood has their eyes set on Tara, a young, gorgeous blond college student. Tara is open to the idea of becoming a vampire, but someone else enters the picture to disrupt the brood’s plans. Caleb, a fresh face college student new to Los Angeles, keeps dreaming of a mysterious stranger. At school, Caleb meets the stranger, Jasin, and they have an instant connection. The problem is that time is short, and Jasin needs to convince Caleb that eternity as a vampire can be a very sweet life.”

Ok, the plot doesn’t sound, eh, too bad. Actually it sounds like a rather sweet love story, however, the fact that the filmmaker choose that ab-tastic photo for the DVD cover instantly takes all seriousness away from the film. Ok, moving on from the cover, the film sounded like it could have had some potential, but then I read the reviews and that idea was thrown right out the window. Every reviewer gave the film TERRIBLE ratings and each and every person said the same thing, that the acting was awful and the dialogue was laughably bad. If this movie didn’t cost an insane $26.59 (what the hell were they thinking) I’d recommend this film for a bad movie night. But as fun as it is having a bunch of friends over to laugh at a horrible film, the cost of the DVD really isn’t worth it. But hey, if you’re actually interested you can buy it HERE.
