Vampire Diaries Cast Interviews!
With The Vampire Diaries going on a month long hiatus all of us hardcore fans need a little something to hold us over until then – cue cast interviews! Yay! Doing the whole fan-girl thing I came across a collection of interviews where the cast answers fan questions. Check it outâ¦
Paul Wesley (Stefan Salvatore)
Did you read the Vampire Diaries books before joining the cast?
I hadnât read them prior to auditioning but once I got the role I found out the show was based on books and so I ran to the store and picked up all the books. The problem is I only had two weeks before we started shooting, so I sat down and just plowed through them and I made it. But yes, I did read the books. I thought it was important to get as much back-story as I could about Stefan.
Nina Dobrev (Elena Gilbert)
If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
I would want to be invisible⦠and fly. I would want to have the choice to just disappear sometimes and do my own thing and then fly to different places around the world because I love traveling.
Ian Somerdale (Damon Salvatore)
What is your personal favorite vampire movie?
One vampire movie that was actually really incredible was Willem Dafoe and Shadow of the Vampire. That was such an interesting weird portrayal ⦠it wasnât this highly stylized romanticized version of a vampire.
Candice Accola (Caroline Forbes)
What do you think about being compared to Twilight all the time?
I think itâs normal, I mean we both are entertainment surrounded by vampires, and with True Blood as well. I think itâs fun but at the same time I just kinda think of how many doctor shows and lawyer shows there are out there⦠so itâs vampires. But I also think itâs a compliment, look at what Twilight has become and Iâve seen it and think itâs really fun as well. Itâs a great compliment to be compared to that.
To watch all of the interviews, with all of the cast head over here. I just gave you a small taste, each actor gets asked a few questions. Yay!
Moonlight (aka Amanda) loves to write about, read about and learn about everything pertaining to vampires. You will most likely find her huddled over a book of vampire folklore with coffee in hand. Touch her coffee and she may bite you (and not in the fun way).
