Vampire Diaries’ Nina Dobrev Dishes on Katherine

Every single episode of The Vampire Diaries is full of mystery and every time one question is answered a dozen more questions spring up in our minds. One of the biggest questions is – what’s the deal with Katherine? We’re all dying to know what her plans are, why she is so sadistic and evil, what her history is and so on. Well, it looks like we’ll be getting those answers soon.

On the November 11 episode of the show, titled Katerina, we will finally have answers to some of those Katherine questions. The episode flashbacks to the 1490s and Katherine’s life. In a recent interview with TV Guide, Nina Dobrev explains a little bit about what we can expect:

“We find out how she became a vampire and what led her to become the person she is today — a selfish, maniacal woman who only looks out for herself.”

In addition to this small tidbit of info, co-executive producer Julie Plec teases us little by saying that there are some big things on the way, as we will learn a bit more about the mysterious “villain” who just might be behind Katherine’s own transformation:

“This villain has ties to the deep, deep past of the vampire legend. And then in our last episode before the holidays [December 9], we’ll finally see poor Tyler Lockwood’s torturous transformation into a werewolf.”

So not only do we have Katherine’s past to look forward to, but also some info on a new bad guy and Tyler’s horrible werewolf transformation. Hell yeah!

But that’s not all TV Guide revealed to us, they also added a fun fact about Nina. It turns out that Nina was born in Bulgaria and speaks Katherine’s native tongue!

What do you guys think of the upcoming episodes? Are you excited?
