Vampire Diaries Spoilers and is the Set Haunted?

Yeah lots of news in the VD world: apparently things are getting creepy on set, as the season builds up to its finale. The show filmed several scenes at an old spooky plantation in Georgia, which has a seriously haunted reputation. Flickering lights (bad wiring) and a self-playing piano (hit the demo button somewhere I guess) have spooked poor Nina Dobrev, who says she now believes in ghosts. Okay, not trying to be mean, but think of the atmosphere; of course it’s going to be spooky, filming a vampire show at some old creepy plantation which is reported to be one of the most haunted locations in America. But was it really ghosts?

AceShowbiz tells Nina’s side of the story:

“Producers of the bloodsucker show filmed several scenes at the Gaither Plantation in Covington, Georgia, which boasts the reputation of being one of America’s most haunted houses, following years of reports of ghostly sightings and unexplained events.

reveals members of the crew were left terrified when a piano started playing of its own accord, presenting problems for the shoot.

She tells the Associated Press, “The ADs (assistant directors) started screaming, ‘Stop! Whoever that is stop the music. We’re rolling. Cameras are on.'”

She also claims to have undergone a ghostly experience herself when the lights in one room began “spontaneously coming on and off”.”

Eloquently put, I’d say. Okay, it’s a given; most actresses are airheads, and they’ll do anything to promote their careers. But maybe she did get creeped out. That would be fair. Though I really don’t think there was anything spooky actually happening. Anyway, much more exciting, are spoilers from the season finale of Vampire Diaries, courtesy of Gather’s Entertainment blog. Apparently, Damon Salvatore will either die, or come very close to it, and this will change things for him, –and it will also certainly change his relationship in some way with Elena.

Damon will find his humanity and face his own mortality in the season finale. Stefan will even try to save his brother because his brother finally shows a softer side as he evaluates his life. However, fans will remember that a werewolf bite is fatal. Fans saw Rose die in Damon’s arms after she took the bite that was meant for him earlier this season. Plec did tease that anyone can die in the season finale, and that includes Damon Salvatore, played by Ian Somerhalder. He is one of the main characters of the series, so the chance of him actually dying is almost impossible. Never say never though.”

Yeah, not cool. I said it before and I will say it again: If Damon Salvatore bites the big one (no pun intended) in the season finale, I won’t watch another episode. Or well, maybe, but only in the hope that he will be miraculously brought back to life. I love the show, don’t get me wrong, but killing off my main squeeze, CW? Seriously? No way. I will never forgive the network.

  4. I will never watch the show again if they kill off Damon. First off, Ian Somerhalder is like one of the best actor on the show, a main character, and just well….so loveable. If he goes, so do I.
