‘Vampire Dog’ Trailer is Possibly The Cheesiest Trailer Ever

The trailer for the straight-to-DVD children flick Vampire Dog is out, and just as you can imagine, it’s incredibly cheesy and all kinds of ridiculous. But hey, it is a kid movie and even though 99.9% of adults will cringe at the trailer, the youngins will be giggling in their seats. Check out the movie details and trailer below.

Vampire Dog description:

“VAMPIRE DOG is a feature length family film about finding courage and discovering that you belong.

Ace, a 12-year-old boy is new in middle school. His grandfather from Transylvania passes away at the ripe age of 99, and sends him his dog, Fang, to look after. Ace soon discovers that Fang is a vampire dog.

Professor Warhol, a mad scientist and her bumbling assistant Frank, try to capture Fang to steal his DNA, in order to look young. They are constantly in pursuit of Fang but Fang uses his superpowers to stay one step ahead of them.

During their adventure Ace shows Fang how to behave like a normal dog and embrace his vampire powers. Fang helps Ace open up and come alive again through his music.

Ace and Fang discover with the help of each other, when they face their fears, they can do anything.”

As I said, it’s incredibly cheesy. But that’s how most kid movies are. This film, which is something no adult in their right mind would want to see, will do well with the kiddies. It has a talking dog and fart jokes. Kids LOVE talking animal movies… it’s like kid crack to them. They also love anything to do with farting. Children are strange.

Vampire Dog is set to be released on September 25, 2012.

Anyone planning on picking up this silly movie for their little ones?

Moonlight (aka Amanda) loves to write about, read about and learn about everything pertaining to vampires. You will most likely find her huddled over a book of vampire folklore with coffee in hand. Touch her coffee and she may bite you (and not in the fun way).

  3. Okay….there is cheesy and then there is REALLY REALLY BAD. I’m sorry, but that’s what that was. Just really low budget, no effort put into it…”Hey let’s just make some money off the kids and the current vampire craze!”. That’s pretty much what that was. I’m sorry to be ripping on a kid’s film here but that was just not qaulity entertainment even for five year olds. I remember when Tim Burton did Frankenweenie (which they are currently remaking into an animated film). He did that with style. But this is just crap. I remember there was also a really old movie called Dracula’s Dog, which was a similar premise. Wasn’t that great either but was better then Vampire Dog. Well, I recommend to parents that if they want to go see a vampire themed children’s movie….go see Hotel Transylvania. Anyway…that’s all I have to say.
