Vampire Halloween Party Recipes

It’s our favorite time of the year! Halloween! Whether you’re throwing a Halloween party or just having a vampire themed evening you’re going to need to feed your guests, and what better than with delicious vampire goodies. Check out some of the tasty (and easy) vampire recipes below:

Vampire Pancakes
Ingredients:
– Pancake mix
– Red jam of your choice

Directions:
First, mix up a batch of pancake batter (as much as you like, depending on how many mouths you have to feed). Then preheat a lightly greased griddle or frying pan to medium-high. When a drop of water skitters on the surface, it’s ready.
Drop 1/4 cup of batter onto the griddle. Place about 3 tsp jam in the center of the pancake. Cover with a bit more pancake batter – just enough to hide the jam. Cook until first side is golden, then flip and brown the second side.
To make vampire bite marks, use a toothpick to make fang marks and mark each with a drop of jam.

Vampire Blood Punch
Ingredients:
– 4 cups cranberry raspberry juice (or cranberry juice cocktail)
– 2 cups natural pineapple juice (100% juice)
– 2 cups raspberry-flavored seltzer water
Fang ice cubes (optional)

Directions:
1. Mix all of the ingredients together, and pour into a large, decorative punch bowl.
2. Serve the punch with these awesome fang ice cubes (if desired).

Dracula Cupcakes

The things about this one is that there is no right or wrong recipe – you can make it any way you like. Simply make a batch of cupcakes the way you usually would (Betty Crocker SuperMoist cake mix is my fave) and decorate them any way you want. Here are some ideas to get the Dracula look:

– Vanilla frosting and food coloring. Simple. If you don’t have a frosting bag with fancy tips to apply the design, then you can fill a plastic baggy with frosting and cut a small hole in the corner of the bag. Or, you can buy a can of frosting instead, like this.

– Applying frosting can take time and skills, so an easier way to make Dracula is to use candy. Like, chocolate shavings for hair, white chocolate chips for fangs…etc.

Vampire Sugar Cookies

Ingredients:
Vampire cookie cutter
– 1 1/2 cups butter, softened
– 2 cups white sugar
– 4 eggs
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 5 cups all-purpose flour
– 2 teaspoons baking powder
– 1 teaspoon salt
– Frosting

Directions:

1. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in the flour, baking powder, and salt. Cover, and chill dough for at least one hour (or overnight).
2. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Roll out dough on floured surface 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick. Cut into shapes with any cookie cutter. Place cookies 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
3. Bake 6 to 8 minutes in preheated oven. Cool completely.
4. Once cooled, frost cookies any way you like.

– You can also make normal circle cookies and do super simple vampire cookies like in the picture above.

Moonlight (aka Amanda) loves to write about, read about and learn about everything pertaining to vampires. You will most likely find her huddled over a book of vampire folklore with coffee in hand. Touch her coffee and she may bite you (and not in the fun way).
