Trivia time! As I have said in the past, I am a huge trivia junkie, I love me some totally useless bits of information (I rock at game shows). In the recent Dark Shadows film, Jonathan Frid, Lara Parker, David Selby and Kathryn Leigh Scott, who played Barnabas Collins, Angelique Bouchard, Quentin Collins and Maggie Evans/Josette DuPres in the original Dark Shadows, appear at the ball at Collinwood Manor in two scenes – first when they are greeted at the door by Barnabas, and the when Alice Cooper begins his second number, Elizabeth is seen talking with Scott, Selby and Parker.
In Underworld: Awakening, Kate Beckinsale’s actual mother makes a cameo as a vampire in David’s covenant.
Robert Pattinson had boat driving lessons for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 so he would be able to drive the boat in the honeymoon scenes. But despite taking lessons, he crashed the boat in both the lessons and while filming in Brazil.
For the 2011 remake of Fright Night, Heath Ledger was originally considered for the role of Jerry. But sadly this never happened due to his passing.
In Dylan Dog: Dead of Night, one of the sleeper vampires is called Sclavi. Tiziano Sclavi is the author of the Dylan Dog comic books the film is based on.
For Let Me In, director Matt Reeves based the physical appearance and personality of Abby (Chloë Grace Moretz) on photos he had seen of a 12-year old homeless girl taken by Mary Ellen Mark (a famed photographer). Moretz said that it was these photos that inspired the sadness in her character.
In BloodRayne, the half-naked prostitutes in the scene with Leonid are actually real Romanian prostitutes. According to director Uwe Boll, it was cheaper to hire real prostitutes than actresses.
