Vampires at San Diego Comic Con 2013

San Diego Comic Con is here! This is one of the greatest times of year! It’s when we get the latest goodies on upcoming movies, video games, comics, anime, and SO much more. It’s a wonderful Geekend! And while the vampire craze has passed, there are still loads of vampiric awesomeness coming to Comic Con this year. Check out the details below.

Wednesday, July 17

6:00 pm: A preview of The CW’s The Originals – From the executive producer of The CW’s #1 series and Comic-Con fan-favorite The Vampire Diaries comes The Originals, a sexy new drama centering on the Original Family and the dangerous vampire/werewolf hybrid, Klaus. There are other new show previews as well during this event, and while not vampire shows, some of them sound awesome.

6:25 pm: Vampire Princess Miyu anime preview

Thursday, July 18

10:00 am: Clare Kramer, who played Glory in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, will be a guest.

2:30 pm: Nicholas Brendon, who played Xander in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, will be a guest.

10:00 am: Clare Kramer, who played Glory in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, will be a guest.

12:00 pm Michael McMillian, who plays Steve Newlin in True Blood and is the author of Field Guide to Vampires

2:30 pm: Nicholas Brendon, who played Xander in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, will be a guest.

3:30 pm: Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Delving into Season 8 and 9 with Series Artist Georges Jeanty – Comic-Con special guest Georges Jeanty takes you on an intimate journey through the life of the Scoobys as they continued on seasons 8 and 9 of the cult hit show. Anyone interested in Buffy, this panel is for you! Georges will be discussing his almost 20 years in the comic industry and talking about working with series creator Joss Whedon with stories and a Q&A about how these seasons came together…and maybe a little sing-along!

4:05 pm: New footage and discussion of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones (which has vampires in it).

Favorites brings together stars from TV’s hottest shows for a lively discussion filled with behind-the-scenes scoop. That vamp’s a tramp; this witch is a real bitch. Pixies will pinch, and the fey go beyond fairly frightening. The ghouls are ghastly, and we mere mortals are growing testy. Oh, and that creepy-looking fella is sprouting fur from his feet, and who knows “were” else! Jeanne Stein (the Anna Strong series) encourages S. M. Wheeler (Sea Change), Leigh Bardugo (The Grisha Trilogy), Brom (Krampus), Morgan Rhodes (Falling Kingdoms), Amber Benson (The Calliope Reaper-Jones series), Seanan McGuire (The October Daye series), Rachel Caine (the Morganville Vampires series), and C.   1. Whats the Rosario+Vampire thing about? I doubt it has anything to do with a season 3.. but Id be super happy if it did!
