Vampires Attack in Skyrim Dawnguard Trailer

Fans of the highly popular and ridiculously addictive game Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will be pleased to hear the vampire infused trailer for the Skyrim Dawnguard add-on has been released via Bethesda! The mini pre-E3 teaser trailer offers gamers a first look at the super anticipated add-on coming out this summer.

“We knew you couldn’t wait until E3,” game-maker Bethesda Softworks said in a blog post. “Neither could we.”

In the high-definition, pre-E3 trailer, we watch a wicked lord’s search for the Elder Scrolls and the battle between the vampires and the Dawnguard. Judging by the looks of the battle and the eerie voice-over, Dawnguard is going to be all kinds of badass.

In the new add-on for the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, players will have the option to team up with either the Dawnguard — the group of hunters — or the sector of super-vampires.

Check out the trailer for yourself:

Dawnguard is considered an add-on, instead of a DLC (downloadable content), because according to reports, Bethesda plans to make the Skyrim addition more like an expansion pack.

Dawnguard will be available for download for 1,600 Microsoft Points, or $20, on Xbox Live this summer. The PlayStation 3 and PC add-on is expected 30 days later.

About Skyrim:

“The Empire of Tamriel is on the edge. The High King of Skyrim has been murdered. Alliances form as claims to the throne are made. In the midst of this conflict, a far more dangerous, ancient evil is awakened. Dragons, long lost to the passages of the Elder Scrolls, have returned to Tamriel. The future of Skyrim, even the Empire itself, hangs in the balance as they wait for the prophesized Dragonborn to come; a hero born with the power of The Voice, and the only one who can stand amongst the dragons.”

What are your thoughts on the Dawnguard trailer? Who here will be downloading it?

Moonlight (aka Amanda) loves to write about, read about and learn about everything pertaining to vampires. You will most likely find her huddled over a book of vampire folklore with coffee in hand. Touch her coffee and she may bite you (and not in the fun way).
