Watch Previews of True Blood Season 5 Finale ‘Save Yourself’

At long last the Season 5 finale of True Blood is here, airing this Sunday (August 26) is the episode “Save Yourself.” This week HBO has revealed an action-packed promo video of the final episode of the season and one extended preview (instead of the usual two). It looks like things are going get even crazier and a whole lot of blood will spill. Check out the episode description, the promo and the preview below.

Episode description for “Save Yourself:”

“Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) embarks on a final, desperate mission to overthrow the Authority – and save Bill (Stephen Moyer) from losing his humanity. Andy (Chris Bauer) faces the consequences of a light pact he made; Alcide (Joe Manganiello) readies for a second showdown with J.D. (Louis Herthum); Sam (Sam Trammell) and Luna (Janina Gavankar) test their limits in trying to escape the Authority.”

And here is the extended preview:

Judging by the promo, things aren’t looking too hot for the faeries. Russell appears to be immune to their light for the time being. That’s so not good. Hopefully no more fae die. I am loving them. The promo also shows that Bill’s crazy has reached a new level. Also, considering the amount of blood and guts in the video, it looks like Jason, Eric, and Nora take out a few vamps. Good!

As for the preview, well, Jason is back to seeing his parents and his hatred for vampires has come fully alive. Blah. It also looks like Sookie is going to attempt to rescue Bill. Yeah, I doubt that will go well. Also, how did Sookie know Nora was Eric’s sister? I don’t remember that coming up around her, but maybe I just forgot.

Looks like a wild episode.

Who here is excited about the finale?

Moonlight (aka Amanda) loves to write about, read about and learn about everything pertaining to vampires. You will most likely find her huddled over a book of vampire folklore with coffee in hand. Touch her coffee and she may bite you (and not in the fun way).

  5. And the end has come to another season. I enjoyed this season, but I wonder about Warlow. The final episode brought so many new questions (Bill) and new situations (Andy), etc…
