What to Expect from Season 4 of WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS

I should state upfront that I am privy to no special insider knowledge. This is just me looking at things as they stand at the end of the current season and, as a storyteller, asking myself what I would do next with the characters.

Nandor’s depression will continue as he seeks his roots in the Middle East. I expect him to get into some nasty jam from which Guillermo will have to come rescue him. Likewise I think Nadja will experience unforeseen difficulties in England, and for this reason it will prove a good and fortuitous thing that Guillermo was forced to accompany her. Will the Guide go with Nadja? I expect so, though it would also be funny if she were to stay behind and help Laszlo raise the newborn Colin Robinson. I don’t expect the latter to remain in child form for very long, not more than an episode or two before he returns to his adult stage, but there’s opportunity for some big laughs before then, as Laszlo doesn’t strike me as textbook father material.

What I’d really like to see is Laszlo move in with the Sire and the Master, or have them move in with Laszlo, albeit temporarily. I loved the expansion of the cast we saw in season three and I want to see those new characters featured prominently next season. In fact having Laszlo, baby Colin Robinson, the Sire, the Master, and the Guide all living under the same roof has the makings of an all new sitcom teeming with potential.

What would you like to see out of the next season of WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS?
