Where Are They Now: Buffy Edition Part 3

Oh yea, I am back for a third time. Seven seasons of Buffy equals a whole lot of important characters to cover. So let’s see what the other Buffy cast members have been up to.

Eliza Dushku (Faith)
Sexy sexy Faith. Faith was another Slayer, the naughty Slayer that went from good to bad to good to bad and good…etc. Dushku headlined in quite a few movies after ’Buffy’ and also landed the lead role in the supernatural series ‘Tru Calling.’ After that she then went back to working with Joss Whedon staring in his sci-fi drama ‘Dollhouse.’

Julie Benz (Darla)
Darla was one of Buffy and Angel’s big bad vampire villainesses.  After the shows Benz  appeared in Rambo and Saw V. She also had the honor of leading in the Boondock Saints sequel, Boondock Saints: All Saints Day. You can see her in a few upcoming movies, including another Rambo flick.

Marc Blucas (Riley Finn)
Remember Riley? Buffy’s super hot, government employed supernatural hunting boyfriend? Well, Blucas’ work on ‘Buffy’ led to roles in ‘We Were Soldiers,’ ‘First Daughter,’ ‘The Alamo’ and ‘The Jane Austen Book Club.’ But that’s not all, in addition to continuing his film and TV career, Blucas is an assistant coach for the Marymount High School girls’ basketball team. Impressive. You can also see in the upcoming flick ‘Knight and Day’ with Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz.

Alexis Denisof (Wesley Wyndam-Pryce)

The character that was geeky and silly in ‘Buffy’ but turned total badass in ‘Angel.’ Just before the final season of ‘Angel,’ he was diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy. Not too long ago he guest-starred on ‘How I Met Your Mother,’ alongside wife and fellow ‘Buffy’ star Alyson Hannigan. He also had a role in ‘Dollhouse,’ a show created by the same man that created ‘Buffy,’ Joss Whedon.

Juliet Landau (Drusilla)
Hands down my favorite ‘Buffy’ character! Dru was a vampire, psychic, hilariously insane and creepy all at once. Love love! After the show Landau continued acting in theater and independent movies, and even directed a short documentary film about Gary Oldman. She also voices characters on the animated series ‘Ben 10’ and in the upcoming video game ‘Star Wars: The Old Republic.’

Mercedes McNab (Harmony Kendall)
Ditsy, bitchy Harmony – man, I couldn’t stand her in ‘Buffy’ but she was oddly adorable in ‘Angel.’ Since ‘Angel,’ she’s had numerous guest-starring spots on ‘Crossing Jordan,’ ‘Supernatural,’ ‘Reaper’ and ‘Psych,’ as well as a few roles in independent horror films.

Amber Benson (Tara Maclay)
Tara was Willow’s sweet and shy true love. After ‘Buffy’ she appeared on ‘Cold Case’ and ‘Supernatural’ (as a vampire haha). Other than that she has been in telemovies and straight-to-dvd releases. She is currently filming the movie ‘Cross,’ a movie that appears to have magic and lots of guns.

Moonlight (aka Amanda) loves to write about, read about and learn about everything pertaining to vampires. You will most likely find her huddled over a book of vampire folklore with coffee in hand. Touch her coffee and she may bite you (and not in the fun way).

  4. Thank you for these updates. I have all seven seasons and love all the characters. Ingenious show. The updates remind me I need to pull my dvd’s out and settle in for another re-watch.
