Demon in My View by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes
I was absolutely obsessed with this book when I was a teen. Love! Demon in My View follows the teenage Jessica. Though nobody at her high school knows it, her vampire novel has just come out under a pen name. She has always been treated as an outsider at Ramsa High. But two new students have just arrived in Ramsa, and both want Jessica’s attention. She has no patience for overly friendly Caryn, but she’s instantly drawn to Alex, a handsome boy who seems surprisingly familiar. If she didn’t know better, she’d think that Aubrey, the alluring villain from her novel, had just sprung to life. That’s impossible, of course; Aubrey is a figment of her imagination. Or is he?

Evernight by Claudia Gray
The first in the series, Evernight tells the Romeo and Juliet-like love story of Bianca and Lucas. The two meet at Evernight Academy, an eerie Gothic boarding school where the students are somehow too perfect: smart, sleek, and almost predatory – except for Lucas and Bianca, two outsiders that seem perfect for one another.

The Vampire Diaries: The Awakening and The Struggle by L. J. Smith
The first two books in the Vampire Diaries series (available in one book) tells the tale of two vampire brothers and the beautiful girl torn between them.

Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead
Vladimir’s Academy isn’t just any boarding school—it’s where vampires are educated in the ways of magic and half-human teens train to protect them. Rose Hathaway is a Dhampir, a bodyguard for her best friend Lissa, a Moroi Vampire Princess. They’ve been on the run, but now they’re being dragged back to St. Vladimir’s—the very place where they’re most in danger. . . . Rose and Lissa become enmeshed in forbidden romance, the Academy’s ruthless social scene, and unspeakable nighttime rituals.

Vampire Kisses by Ellen Schreiber
In her small town, dubbed “Dullsville,” sixteen-year-old Raven — a vampire-crazed goth-girl — is an outcast. But not for long… The intriguing and rumored-to-be haunted mansion on top of Benson Hill has stood vacant and boarded-up for years. That is, until its mysteriously strange new occupants move in. Who are these creepy people — especially the handsome, dark, and elusive Alexander Sterling? Or rather, what are they? Could the town prattle actually ring true? Are they vampires? Raven, who secretly covets a vampire kiss, both at the risk of her own mortality and Alexander’s loving trust, is dying to uncover the truth.

The Morganville Vampires, Vol. 1 by Rachel Caine
Vol. 1 contains the first two books in the Morganville Vampires series. The story follows Claire Danvers, who learns very quickly that in the town of Morganville, you should never, ever stay out after dark…

That’s a small, bloody taste of a few other young adult romance novels featuring our favorite creatures of the night. Any others you’d like to add? Let me know in a comment below.

– Moonlight

By Moonlight

Moonlight (aka Amanda) loves to write about, read about and learn about everything pertaining to vampires. You will most likely find her huddled over a book of vampire folklore with coffee in hand. Touch her coffee and she may bite you (and not in the fun way).

  2. House of Night! :)
&& I know that ‘a Vampire Tale’- 13 bullets being the 1st book then 99 coffins being the 2nd arn’t romantic but still I heart them. Best vampire book I’ve read this month!’x

    1. Thanks :) I left House of Night off of the list because it’s not romantic at all. Zoey has like 3 boyfriends at once and sleeps with a man she barely knows because he says nice things to her. That is not a romance story to me. I was going for stories that are actually romantic :)
